Argoperformance is a plugin of ArgoUML tool. Its intent is to permit the adding of performance annotations in to the UML diagrams to forecast performance problems from the early stages of Software Development Process. This kind of approach realizes the so called Software Performance Engineering (SPE) which allows to build performance into systems rather than (try to) add it later.
The annotations are based on the OMG's standard profile, and the definition of an intermediate model allow to use different performance model such as Petri nets and simulative approach.
This work is developed by the MDS Lab and is matter of future pubblications.
The Petri Net analysis is based on the WebSPN tool.
A screenshoot showing the Petri Net produced for retrieving performance measueres from a system.
